The collection of rarities was originally released as a promo CD to correspond with the Lips' 1999 album The Soft Bulletin. In addition to the tour dates, the band also revealed a special vinyl re-issue of The Soft Bulletin Companion for the JRecord Store Day drop. Wayne Coyne and company plan to hit North America and the UK on their trek, and though there's been no mention of space bubbles for the shows the Lips are bound to make sure everything is safe and comfortable for concert goers. A few songs later, another massive inflatable - this time in the size of giant pink robot, easily doubling the height of Coyne - was brought to its feet onstage. Stunning visuals danced on the screen as the band rocked out under the rainbow. As the second song began, a giant inflatable rainbow, which was wider than the entire stage, was erected. Once the show started, he retreated inside his trademark bubble and serenaded the crowd as confetti cannons showered the audience with rainbow papers. Before the first song, Coyne threw a toy bird into the air above the crowd and shined a light on it as it fluttered gracefully through the air.
